Forested Families exists to walk alongside emancipated foster youth as they transition into adulthood, providing the lasting support, community, and family connection so many young adults need after aging out of the foster care system. Rather than offering only short-term assistance, Forested Families is committed to building meaningful relationships that help young adults gain the tools, stability, and encouragement needed to thrive. Our vision is to create a lifelong network of support rooted in family, belonging, and hope.

Referrals & Enrollment

We work alongside emancipated foster youth who are ready to take steps toward healthy, independent adulthood. Case workers, community partners, and young adults themselves can connect with us to learn more, make referrals, or begin the enrollment process.

Every year, thousands of young adults age out of foster care and step into adulthood carrying more than most people can see. Many are left trying to navigate life alone without stable support, lasting family connections, or someone they can truly count on. At Forested Families, we believe no young person should have to face that journey alone.

Forested Families exists to walk alongside emancipated foster youth with the kind of support that doesn’t disappear after a program ends. We are building a lifelong community rooted in belonging, encouragement, mentorship, and meaningful relationships so young adults can find stability, healing, and hope for the future.

Our name comes from the way trees in a forest are connected beneath the surface through deep root systems that strengthen and support one another. In the same way, we believe people grow stronger when they are surrounded by a caring and grounded community. We want every young adult who comes through our doors to know they are seen, valued, supported, and never alone.

As a faith-based organization, our work is inspired by the grace and unconditional love of Jesus. While participation in faith activities is never required, our desire to love, serve, and care for others is at the heart of everything we do.
